We are already almost 2 weeks into our last trimester and we have already begun with a flurry of activity. We are starting to see some signs of spring and with that a final push to the last few weeks of school.
Just before our Easter break, we have a marvelous showing of icons organized by our art teacher, Mrs. Bello. With contributions from many other Catholic schools across Long Island, we have quite the showing of faith active in our school.
The first Saturday back from vacation was showing some spring fever as the girls of the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade held their annual Garden Party. Girls gathered at school with their moms, grandmas, aunts and sisters to celebrate the ladies that are important in their lives. A wonderful time was had by all.
And finally for this week, we had our always intense Math Bee, hosted by Mr. Morris. Our 4th-8th grade students showed off their computation prowess in an intense competition. At the end the bee only Jonphillips Iregbulem was left standing. He will be the St. Martin’s representative at the Bro. Fox Latin School Math Bee. Congratulations and best of luck!
