The director of Raynham Hall Museum in Oyster Bay invited our third through fifth graders to participate in an essay contest. The students were to write about a President they admired and the qualities he had they would like to emulate. The Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored the contest and chose the winners.
Out of over 400 entrants, Jaydon Mejia of Third Grade won 1st Place with his essay on Theodore Roosevelt. Mia Moore of the 4th Grade won Second Place with her essay on Lyndon B. Johnson and Kendall Riley of Fifth Grade won 1st Place with her essay on Ronald Reagan. The St. Martin faculty and students are very proud of the winners.
