On Friday evening, February 7th, nearly 100 Pre-K to 4th grade children and their parents enjoyed a fun-filled evening at the Fairy Tale Ball; the theme of this year’s Family Reading Night.
The evening began when Prince Charming (Mr. Morris) read to all the gathered children the tale of Jack and the Bean Stalk. Once the tale was told, the Pre-K and Kindergarten children went to their classrooms to color a four-foot tall medieval fairy castle playhouse and to have their moms and dads read to them. Meanwhile the 1st to 4th graders read to their moms and dads and crafted their very own knight’s shield of faith.
Once everyone was gathered back in the Sacred Heart Commons, Belle (Mrs. Talamo) read to the children the story of The Gingerbread Boy. The evening concluded with a book gift and cookies and juice for all!
