The first day back concluded with an Epiphany Prayer Service in St. Martha’s Church. Bro. Tim reminded us all not to put Jesus away in a box at the end of the Christmas season but to kept him close to us in the very center of our hearts.
Friday evening, January 10th, was a rocking time for nearly the entire junior high class. Over 120 junior high students attended Mass in St. Martha’s Church at 5:30 P.M. Once Mass concluded they were back over in the Sacred Heart Commons for dinner and dancing the night away. Everyone enjoyed the Winter Social immensely.
The second week of school saw all teachers and students enthusiastically preparing for the Open House which was held on Saturday, January 18th. Visitors found a vibrant school community enjoying a Saturday afternoon together. While the chorus was singing in the St. Martin’s Room, the string orchestra was entertaining our guests in the Sacred Heart Commons.
Visitors met with parents, alumni, parents of alumni, the faculty, and with over 100 of the current students who were in some way representing their club, sport, or activity. If you missed the opportunity to come by for Open House, please call and Mr. Holian, our Headmaster, will meet with you and give you your own personal guided tour.
This upcoming Saturday the ladies of the Junior High and their moms will be gathering in the Millennium Room at KMHS for the 10th Annual Ladies Tea and Fashion Show. Be sure to get your reservations in this week.
