We would like to thank our families that so generously donated money and gift cards to the St. Martin’s family that recently suffered the lose of their home and possessions due to a devastating fire. The family has reached out to the administration and is so very grateful for the generosity of the SMMS family. Thank you again for always helping others in their time of need.
***UPDATED***Also, St. Martin’s will be offering full day childcare for students currently enrolled in grades Pre-K to 4 for the month of June. The dates this program will be available are June 6th – June 24th. The cost of this program is $300 a week. Please call the main office if you are interested in taking advantage of this program.
Former St. Martin’s students and now current Kellenberg Memorial students, Keon and Kryston Whyte have lost their Uniondale home and ALL of their possessions in a massive fire early Wednesday morning. This fire required assistance from 9 fire departments. Flames flew out of every window in the home. The Whyte Family needs our help and prayers. As you know, our school motto is: Above all things, charity and love. If you have any donations of gift cards or money that can help our former students, please send them in to Mr. Holian in the main office.
A local charity will be hosting a fundraiser in Lido Beach on Saturday, May 7th. St. Martin’s will be one of the recipients of funds raised at this event. Your child brought home a paper with information yesterday. Please consider showing your support by participating in this event. You can also go to the website for more information: http://www.aceintheholefoundation.org/upcoming-events.html
Mr. Holian would like to share the following information:
Please join the faculty and staff of St. Martin de Porres Marianist School for the 7th Annual Beach Run and Walk, Saturday, May 7 at Lido Beach. We encourage all families to attend this wonderful event. St. Martin’s will be a major recipient of this fundraiser. St. Martin’s students and families do not have to pay any registration fee. If possible I would ask that each family makes a small donation in honor of 1st Lt. Michael LiCalzi’s ultimate sacrifice. Please call me with any questions.
Mr. John Holian
